Help me choose a fabricBed Linen products come in 2 main fabric types - 100% Cotton or Cotton combined with different levels of Polyester - a polycotton. The polyester helps the sheet be stronger and less in need of ironing, but it does not absorb moisture hence one would not want a sheet with too much polyester in it. Generally cotton will shrink more BUT if subject to undue heat polyester will shrink very badly. ALL of our three ranges are a 50/50 blend. The following questions will help you choose the right 50/50 PC sheet product for you: Do you mind having to iron the Bed Linen? It is possible to not iron SuperCale sheets and pillow slips at all! Here's how: Wash, dry, and immediately press well before any use. This will seal the fabrics memory. Then always remove form wash immediately and underload dryer so they never get squashed. Remove from dryer and fold immediately. Who will wash your Bed Linen? If you will be outsourcing your washing check that a) the laundry will wash your goods, and b) what sheeting they use - if they are set up for polycotton it is unlikely they will process cotton and visa versa. How often will the Bed Linen be washed? Do you really 'need' the softness of Cotton? We no longer stock 100% Cotton as Laundries no longer use it. The best alternative to 100% Cotton is SuperCale Polycotton. SuperCale has a much higher thread count than ordinary Polycotton, and as there are more threads these need to be much finer therefore giving a silky soft feel. The feel test Drop me a line and maybe I can send you a pillow slip or two to test - BUT always wash once first to bring out the finish.
